Synopsis

Mohamed is a hardened shepherd living in rural Tunisia with his wife and two sons. Mohamed is deeply shaken when his oldest son Malek returns home after a long journey with a mysterious new wife. Tension between father and son rises over three days until reaching a breaking point.

    Meryam Joobeur is a Tunisian American filmmaker based in Montréal; she is a graduate of the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. Her first short Gods, Weeds & Revolutions (2012) explores memory through Alzheimer’s and the Tunisian revolution. She is currently developing her first feature Roman Ruins.
